Teamwork and Conflict
Trust is what holds a staff together,
through the crisis periods and the calm
periods. “BOOM” creates a safe space where
trust is valued and acknowledged. By
focusing on openness, acceptance and
reliability individuals will tap the
qualities needed to keep everyone “on the
same page” and to create a supportive
environment. Conflict can be resolved as a
win-win only when individuals take personal
responsibility to deal with the conflict.
“BOOM” helps individuals turn conflict into
an opportunity to improve relationships,
reduce stress and increase productivity.
Participants devise new strategies to
assertively deal with conflict and also
learn about the causes of conflict and the
individual and organizational benefits of
dealing with conflict.
Improving Staff Problem Solving
Tapping into a group's creative power can
only happen when staff members recognize and value each other's
individual capacity to contribute to the process. While we work
together towards a common goal, individuals must play their
individual roles in the process. As organizations rely more on
teams to innovate, problem-solve, and produce at the speed of
change, individuals must understand and capitalize on their
individual approaches to group problem solving.
